1. Introduction

Whether your goal is to achieve a pregnancy or to avoid one, Cyclendar.com will help to calculate your ovulation, fertile and infertile days, thus giving you the information you need. Implementing all features of a natural family planning, Cyclendar.com is a simple to follow birth control method. It will calculate the optimal sex schedule to get pregnant or will show "safe" days for those who wants to avoid conception.

Cyclendar.com is suitable for women who have a more or less regular cycle with the length from 20 to 50 days. In this case the Service will calculate ovulation, fertile days, menstruation and safe days.

The program is not able to handle highly irregular cycles (say, one cycle is 14 days long, the next is 28 days), cycles with two ovulations or other problematic cases where professional treatment is required. However, for women who have problems, Cyclendar.com may help to keep cycle chart, and then using the data collected they can discuss and find out what is wrong with their doctor.

2. Getting started

2.1. Enter data for the past cycles

As the first step, you need to enter menstruation days of the current cycle and two past subsequent cycles, going backwards, that is:

enter the first the day of the last menstruation
enter other days of the last menstruation
enter the first the day of the previous menstruation
enter other days of that menstruation
etc

The more information you enter into the program, the better. If you know for sure when ovulations occurred during the past cycles, you can enter them by setting both Ovulation test taken and Ovulation test positive flags of the day *before* ovulation.

2.2. Enter information regularly

On a regular basis you need to enter your menstrual periods and ovulation tests. It will better if you will also take your basal body temperature, monitor the position of the cervix and cervical secretions, and input that information into the program. To achieve more accurate results you need to be consistent in your approach. You can print out the chart for the current cycle and track it offline, visiting the web site about once in a week.
